Winter management points for laying hens

Everyone knows the main reasons for the easy onset of winter laying hens: one is to sacrifice ventilation for heat preservation, the harmful gas exceeds the standard; the second is to reduce the bactericidal effect of ultraviolet rays in winter; the third is to resist the cold and consume heat and the feed energy is insufficient, and the constitution is worse; Fourth, immunization is not timely, not in place. Apart from the importance of chicken farm equipment, what else should we pay attention to?

1. Ventilation is the first important measure for winter management: Chickens have airbags that are prone to respiratory tract disease and are difficult to cure. Poor ventilation is the source of chicken disease. No chicken dies of cold, Only hot dead chickens and chickens that get sick and die because of poor ventilation. In recent years, the wide application of new building materials, such as heat insulation, non-ventilation, non-insulated color steel tiles, and people blindly imitating the construction of ultra-long enclosed chicken houses, have made the problem of poor ventilation of these houses in the low temperature season. The more serious it is. The chicken house that was rebuilt according to Poultry equipment manufacturers’s farming model completely solved the ventilation problem in the cold season.

2. Do a good job of immunization: Avian influenza H5 was immunized for up to 2 months and Newcastle disease – H9 was immunized for up to 3 months. For the immunization of Newcastle disease live vaccine, not according to time, but to see chicken immunity. No matter how long the immunization is, as long as the chickens have 2 to 3 of the following phenomena, they must be re-immunized.

2.1 Layer chicken color becomes light or dark spots;

2.2 Fecal dilute;

2.3 Some cyanosis of the crest of a chicken;

2.4 To the material tank spit water increase. Conditional can be based on antibody testing to do Newcastle disease-H9 and H5 avian influenza immunization work, to ensure that Newcastle disease, H9 antibody levels above 9log2, dispersion does not exceed 3; H5 antibody levels above 7log2 . For the absence of antibody detection conditions, it is recommended to first inject 0.7-0.9 ml/new Newcastle disease-H9 oil seedlings from 190 to 210 days after the peak of the laying hens is stabilized, and use H120 or four lines or clones 30 to 3-4 points; Then, immunize H5 with an interval of 10-15 days.

3. Pay attention to the four management details:

3.1 Four keys to nutrition adjustment:

(1) Refueling 1 ~ 1.5% according to the actual intake, according to the variety of nutrition needs to adjust the formula, protein energy ratio is best at 13.2-13.6 grams/megajoule;

(2) Reduce the stone powder to prevent gout and “splash calcium eggs” : according to each chicken 3.8 to 4.2 grams/day of calcium intake, according to the intake of stone powder to determine the addition;

(3) Use microecological preparations to promote digestion and reduce ammonia production. 0.1-0.2% of high-quality probiotics are added to the feed for a long time, and about 0.5% of sodium humate is added. In particular, the addition of sodium humate has a significant effect on intestinal health and reducing respiratory tract disease in closed houses in winter. (4) use strong and excellent – efficient bile acid powder, protect the liver and gallbladder, increase energy.

3.2 Prevent leakage of nipples: Because the nipples in the winter nipples become damp, which is beneficial to the glycolysis of proteins and produce harmful gases such as ammonia, it is necessary to resolutely choose to use high-quality nipples and replace the leaking nipples in time. The feed was soaked and the mold became severe. The long-term sputum death rate was high, the eggshell was very poor, and the chicken hair removal was serious.

3.3 Feeding at night increases energy and kills less. There are many benefits for feeding in winter: one is to increase energy intake to resist cold; the other is to reduce the death of active bones; the third is to ensure the stability of egg production rate.

3.4 Increase humidity, artificial rainfall and disinfection: (1) with chicken disinfection can effectively kill pathogenic microorganisms and reduce the invasion of pathogens. It is best to carry out the noon at warm weather and heat the disinfectant to above 40 °C; (2) increase the humidity, reduce dust and reduce the occurrence of respiratory diseases. It has been reported that the humidity is sprayed 4 times a day in the chicken house three days before the immune larynx trachea, and the spray is 2-3 times on the day of immunization, which greatly reduces the side effects of the laryngotracheal tube.
