The secret of using chicken cages to keep chickens cool and cool down

The hot summer weather is not conducive to the healthy growth of laying hens and broilers, especially chicken houses in chicken cages. For this reason, the farmers who raise chickens in chicken battery cages should pay special attention to the heatstroke prevention and cooling work of the chicken houses in the summer, and give the chickens a comfortable growth environment. Then, how do farmers cool down the chickens during the summer feeding process? Here are some tips for farmers to learn about summer heat in the chicken cages.

1. Conditional farmers can install high temperature alarms in the chicken house. When the temperature of the house is too high, the alarm will sound, and the farmers will be more convenient to understand the temperature of the house. In addition, the farmers should pay attention to regular inspection. Alarm: Regularly check whether the high temperature alarm, power failure alarm, phase loss alarm, etc. work normally, but do not rely too much on the alarm, and check it in the house.

2. Installation of spray measures: Some small farms can choose to install spray measures on the roof of the house to reduce the temperature by 1-2 °C. This method is suitable for use in seasons where the temperature is not high. It is no longer applicable when the temperature in the house reaches 35 °C or higher.

3. Install the windshield to increase the wind speed: every 2-3 places in the house, use the plastic cloth to install the windshield to reduce the cross-sectional area and increase the wind speed.

4. Adjusting the fan: During the summer feeding management, the farmers should pay attention to adjusting the ratio of the fan to the air inlet to prevent the negative pressure from being too large.

5. House temperature setting: When the farmer decides the temperature of the house, it is recommended that the farmer can raise the house temperature above the set temperature by 1-4 °C, so that ventilation can be considered and the air cooling effect can be used to cool down.

6. Use wet curtain: When the house temperature of the house is higher than the normal temperature by more than 5 °C, the farmer can consider using a wet curtain to cool down. At the beginning, use the wet curtain and small window to mix and ventilate, and gradually transition to only use the wet curtain to cool down. Step by step, the gradient cools down, avoids the temperature drop too fast, and the flock catches a cold. The wet curtain water is intermittently supplied, so that the water curtain is always in the cycle of gradually drying and getting wet, in order to achieve the best effect of water vapor evaporation from the surface of the water curtain paper.

7. High-temperature and high-humidity cooling measures: When the temperature is high and high humidity, the cooling effect of the wet curtain is not good, and the humidity in the shed increases, and the temperature of the chicken group does not decrease. In this case, the wet curtain water should be turned off, and the ventilation should be simply increased. Use the air cooling effect to cool down.

8. Keep the air circulation: When the wet curtain can’t drop the temperature, the chicken group still feels hot. You can consider spraying the chicken group to cool down, but you must open the air inlet of the front door and window of the shed to keep the air flowing. Otherwise, the house will be saturated with humidity. The chicekn flock is prone to suffocation and death.

9. Improve the ability of chickens to resist heat stress: feed musk powder, vc, baking soda, heatstroke prevention and cooling products, etc., to improve the ability of chickens to resist heat stress.
