1.Site selection
To build a chicken farm, we must first consider the location problem. The site selection must be based on the size and nature of the chicken farm (feeding broiler chickens, commercial hens or breeders). The choice of site is appropriate. Health and epidemic prevention, the growth of chickens and the efficiency of the breeding staff are related to the success or failure of chickens.
Site selection should consider comprehensive factors such as area, topography, soil, orientation, traffic, water, power, epidemic prevention conditions, natural disasters and economic environment. The general site selection should follow the following principles.
1) Conducive to epidemic prevention.
2) The site should be in a place that is high, dry and well drained.
3) There should be shading in the venue.
4) The site should have water and power.
5) It must be circled within the scope of the venue.
2.Chicken house construction and equipment
The layout of the chicken farm should first consider the environmental protection of people’s work and living places, so as to be free from contamination by feed dust, fecal smell and other waste. Secondly, it is necessary to pay attention to the epidemic prevention and hygiene of the production of chickens, and try to prevent the possibility of pollution of the pollution source to the environment of the production of chickens. The epidemic environment of the flock should pay special attention to the comprehensive chicken farm. Each flock should also be divided into communities and have certain isolation facilities and maintain good ventilation.
3.Chicken raising equipment and utensils
1) Chicken cages are the main equipment for caged chicken houses. There are pullet cages, broiler chicken cages, and layer chicken battery cages.
2) The feeding equipment includes a feeding machine and a trough. There are chain feeders, plug-in feeders, and troughs.
3) Drinking water equipment. There are trough drinking fountains, tower-shaped vacuum drinkers, and nipple-type drinking fountains.
4. Scientifically formulate immunization procedures, and the correct choice for immunization with vaccine vaccines is to enable poultry to maintain protective antibodies in the whole process of production and growth. Therefore, the immunization procedure should be based on immunological principles, for poultry before and after immunization. Carry out antibody monitoring, and determine the optimal timing of vaccination in combination with the local and surrounding environmental epidemics on the premise of fully understanding the true immune status of the flock.
