Feeding management of broilers in summer

The hot weather in summer will bring heat stress to the chickens, which will reduce the feed intake of broilers, slow down the weight gain, and be susceptible to diseases, affecting the growth and development, production performance and health of broilers. The high temperature in summer is extremely harmful to broilers. If the breeding is improper, it will bring great economic losses to the farm. Therefore, if you want to raise broilers in the summer and improve your economic efficiency, you should do the following.

1. Clean the chicken battery cages
It is faster to clear the house and more thorough. Feeding tools such as drums, water dispensers, plastic nets, light bulbs, thermometers and hygrometers, overalls and other utensils are all moved outside the cage. Remove chicken dung, feathers, coal ash and other contaminants, and then thoroughly clean the roof, walls, doors and windows, etc., so that there is no dust inside.

2. Cleaning the chicken cage
Clean the ground, walls and doors and windows of the chicken cage. The tools in the chicken cage are soaked with disinfectant for a period of time, then rinsed with water and dried; the ground of the chicken cage should not have water, and the inside and the surface of the chicken cage should be flushed in place. Have any dead ends. The roof of the chicken cage should be cleaned from top to bottom.

3. Overhaul work
Maintain cage tools, repair nets, service circuits, and heating tools. Broken tools and bulbs should be replaced in time.

4. Governance environment
Remove debris from the outside drainage and remove weeds from the cage. Repair the road outside the house and clean the factory area, do not have chicken dung, feathers, garbage and other debris.

5. Chicken cage disinfection
Move tools and utensils into the cage and close the doors and windows and vents. Closed tightly and without air leakage, then spray disinfected. Ventilate for ten hours after disinfection, and close the doors and windows after 5 hours of ventilation. All the ceilings and net beds on the surface of the chicken cage can be disinfected with high-efficiency, non-corrosive disinfectant. Ground disinfection can be done with 3% hot soda water spray or lime.

6. Fumigation
Close doors and windows and vents to check if the temperature and humidity meet the requirements. The specific requirements are room temperature 24 ° C, humidity 80%. Make a fumigation basin every 10 meters in the corridor, put potassium permanganate in the basin, and mix well with water.

Then quickly pour the formalin from the farthest end of the house, and immediately seal the door. During the empty house disinfection, no one or animal enters the poultry battery cages. After fumigation, open the doors, windows and vents 24-36 hours, and fully ventilate.
