Measures for raising broilers to cope with high temperature

Summer is here and the temperature is high. How should the breeder control the temperature of the chicken cages? There are some tips.

First, improve the production environment. Lower the temperature in the house.

  • Design the chicken house reasonably: When building a new broiler farm, consider thickening the door of the house, and thickening the wall to achieve heat insulation in summer and winter.
  • Paint the wall white: use white paint or 6% lime milk to paint the surface and roof of the chicken house white to increase reflection and reduce the temperature of the house.
  • Increase ventilation It is necessary to install wet and cool down, and implement longitudinal ventilation; ensure good ventilation in the birdhouse. Can not ignore night ventilation.
  • Conditions for shading and cooling: set up an awning on the window of the chicken house or hang it for half to send to the half black market. Do a good job of greening in the chicken farm area.
  • Spray cooling: install a spray device on the top of the chicken house to perform spray cooling, and at the same time turn on the fan to have a better effect.

Second, emergency rescue of chicken heat stress syndrome. When another chicken or flock develops symptoms of heat stress syndrome, emergency rescue measures should be taken.

  • For chickens with slight heatstroke, they should immediately turn on the spray to cool down, and provide the chickens with plenty of cool drinking water and appropriate amount of heat-clearing and heat-relieving Chinese herbs and vitamin C.
  • Drug treatment: According to the severity of the symptoms of the flock, appropriate anti-heat stress drugs or Chinese herbal medicines should be used.

Third, strengthen daily feeding and management measures.

  • Reduce the stocking density: reduce the stocking density according to the difference of breeds to ensure that there is only enough space for chickens. Eliminate sick, disabled and weak chickens in time.
  • Sufficient cool drinking water: In summer, broiler chickens must be supplied with sufficient cool drinking water to ensure sufficient drinking water location. You can add appropriate anti-heat stress and heat-relieving drugs in the drinking water. Pay attention to burying drinking water pipes underground. Regularly check whether the drinking nipple is blocked, and flush the water supply system in the chicken house.
  • Adjust the feeding frequency and feeding time: The feeding frequency can be adjusted in the hot season, and the feeding shall be arranged at the coolest time, and pay attention to the uniformity.
  • Pay close attention to the mildew and oxidation of feed ingredients, and do not feed mildew or spoiled feed. Add mildew-removing drugs to feed regularly.
  • Maintain environmental sanitation in the house: clean chicken manure in time, and chicken farms that use a manure scraper to scrape manure need to scrape manure 1 to 2 times more than usual.
  • Eliminate various stress factors: the expansion plan of broiler chickens, the transportation time of broiler chickens, and the time of vaccination should try to avoid man-made and natural stress.
