In the process of raising broiler in chicken cages, environmental and hygienic management is very important. The growth cycle of broiler chickens is very short. If chicken flocks are infected with diseases due to sanitary problems, the economic benefits of farmers will be greatly lost. Environmental sanitation is an important factor that causes chicken flocks to develop disease. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent chicken flocks from diseases.
Using broiler chicken cages to raising chicken, hygiene management is more important. Because of the short production cycle of broilers, serious economic losses will occur if diseases occur during the raising period. Poor environmental sanitation is an important factor leading to the disease. The requirements must be:
- Brush the feed trough once a day and frequently brush the feeding equipment and utensils.
- Clean the water tank and water line once a week.
- Frequent disinfection. Foot disinfection tanks or foot disinfection pads should be installed at the entrance and exit. The disinfectant should be replaced on time every day. Strict disinfection must be performed every time when entering and exiting the chicken house.
- Spray disinfection of aisles and walls with a sprayer every day. When an epidemic occurs, spray disinfection can be performed twice a day, and cannot be disinfected for 24 hours before and after the vaccine is used.
- In order to prevent cross-infection, dead chickens should be picked out at any time, and sick and weak chickens should be eliminated. Dead chickens must be burned or buried deep. When dead chickens are buried deeply, they should be disinfected with 2-3% caustic soda water first.
- The outside of the chicken house should be kept clean and the weeds around the chicken house should be removed in time. Because weeds and debris can cause frequent activities such as insects, the probability of spreading diseases increases, causing cross-infection, and posing a great threat to the health of chickens in the house.
